In April 2010, the prices in the elite residential market of Moscow continued to grow, and the buyer activity was high.
The office real estate market of Moscow remains stable as the main trends which appeared in the post-crisis period are still valid and the business activity is high. Still, the negative trends remain in force.
Among important events in the retail market, we should mention the opening of the VIVA! retail center in Butovo. Besides, Japanese clothier UNIQLO launched its first store in Russia.
The Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre, the Katerina Park and the Ukraine were launched adding more than 1,000 rooms to the hotel market.
The developer and buyer activity continued to rise in the countryside residential market of Moscow Region in April 2010. We observe deterred demand for completed elite and business class residential properties and unsatisfied demand for land plots without labor contracts with utilities in the economy segment.
